We are delighted that the Rt. Hon. Sir Vince Cable will deliver this year’s Workers’ Educational Association Annual Lecture - Adult Education in Uncertain Times.

The Rt. Hon Sir Vince Cable is one of the most respected and outspoken political figures of recent times. He was Secretary of State for Business Innovation and Skills and President of the Board of Trade (2010-2015). He was Member of Parliament for Twickenham 1997-2015 and deputy leader of the Liberal Democrats between 2007-2010 and shadow chancellor 2003-2010.

Sir Vince has a long-standing interest in adult and further education and is a governor of Richmond Adult and Community College and a life time fellow of the City Lit.

This will be an exclusive member opportunity to hear Sir Vince reflect on why adult education is important to him from a personal perspective as well as speaking on what role adult education can play in the dynamic and uncertain times we live in.

Sir Vince is the author of several best-selling books on the global economy and we are pleased that there will be an opportunity to purchase signed copies immediately after the Lecture.

We look forward to seeing you there. This is an exclusive member event with limited availability – book today to guarantee your place.
