Event description

Description

Join Ocean Studios for an eclectic programme of events for this year's Plymouth Literature Festival. There will be a diverse range on offer from talks and workshops to readings and performance, all taking place between 27th and 29th October 2017. Outspoken Press will be kicking off the excitement with an evening of charged poetry, followed by artists Liv Wynter and Emily Pope the following night - with a bar provided! What's more? Rowena Kennedy-Epstein will be discussing her undercovering of Muriel Rukyeser's long-lost war novel, Savage Coast, whilst Felicity Gee will be shedding light on the women creatives working within the Surrealist movement. Writer's Block will be finishing the weekend with a discussion and workshop, exploring how space can influence writing practice with the suggestions of how this can be implemented through education.

The Weekend Pass will allow you access to all of these events - in addition to securing a place for our free events with Sarah Winman, Terri Nixon, Laura Quigley and Sheron King. More information about each event can be found by clicking here. The Weekend Pass can also be bought in store from Ocean Studios. The Pass excludes workshops, which are available separately to purchase. We're delighted to celebrate the diverse creativity of our city, with a wonderful medley of local writers and national artists alike. We hope you can join with us!
