Event description

Description

I would be delighted if you could join me to celebrate the publication of The Wellbeing Toolkit on 16th May 2019.

Hosted by Adrian Bethune, author of "Wellbeing in the Primary Classroom" we will hear from a range of wellbeing advocates and teachers as well as to hear extracts from the book.

"The Wellbeing Toolkit will hopefully go some way to unlocking minds and opening eyes to the depth of the issues in regard to the mental and physical wellbeing of our school staff and to challenging the barriers to it. The culture in
our schools is the key determinant of how wellbeing can be led and managed. Sort the culture and we allow wellbeing to thrive; leave it to fester and it becomes toxic and challenging and permits the growth of bullying with all the implications this brings for retention and recruitment."- quote from the text.

“Andrew demonstrates through research the impact a lack of wellbeing can have on staff morale. Seeking to help school leaders think and question practice to develop a 'school culture for wellbeing to grow and thrive', this book is certainly a must-read.” – Bretta Townend-Jowitt, Primary Headteacher

“Andrew sets out a vision for what is possible when schools take a proactive approach to wellbeing. Packed with practical guidance and real-life examples, this book is a 'must-read' for heads, teachers and governors alike.” – Ruth Swailes, School Improvement Advisor, Consultant and Former Headteacher
