The What and How of Memoir

This event at the Blank Space Community Center welcomes established and beginning writers for an exploration of memoir writing. Learn more about the memoir genre, stufdy different structures, and, in the workshop exercises, delve into the main questions of why and how you should write a memoir.

As a print journalist, facilitator Angel R. Ackerman has always focused on the people aspect of every story-- so let her guide you into preserving your experiences. Whether you are an established writer or an absolute beginner, Angel can guide and encourage you.

Angel is the founder and publisher of Lehigh Valley-based Parisian Phoenix Publishing, a small press offering traditional contracts to authors and, for those interested in self-publishing, editorial and graphic design support.

This will be a hands-on afternoon of lecture, discussion and writing exercises. Participants will receive course materials and a free memoir from a Parisian Phoenix author.
