The Wheel of Life | Saturday 10 June, 10am-4.30pm with Buddhist Monk Gen Kelsang Gomchen
“Even if we contemplate deeply the most sublime paintings and works of art we cannot gain benefits that compare with the benefits of contemplating and meditating on the diagram of the Wheel of Life because this diagram reveals the complete path to liberation and full enlightenment.” – Geshe Kelsang Gyatso
The Wheel of Life was a diagram drawn by Buddha and teaches the complete path to enlightenment as well as detailing the six realms of existence. Included within it are Buddha’s teachings on The Four Noble Truths, telling us what we should know, what we should abandon, what we should practise and what you should attain as well as the twelve-dependent-related links that reveal the inner mechanism that perpetuates a life of suffering.
This course will give a practical and contemplative tour of the Wheel of Life and show how we can use this diagram to inspire our meditations and guide us along the spiritual path.
Whether you are new to Buddhism or an experienced practitioner, everyone will enjoy this enlightening event.
