THE WHITE HELMETS
Orlando von Einsiedel (2016)
These volunteers save people on all sides of the Syrian conflict - pledging commitment to the principles of "Humanity, Solidarity, Impartiality", as outlined by the International Civil Defence Organisation. This pledge guides every response, every action, every life saved - so that in a time of destruction, all Syrians have the hope of a lifeline.
The screening will be followed by a debate: our guest is Osman Kaytazoglu who is a journalist from Turkey who covered the Syrian war for 5 years from the border and inside Syria.
STARTS AT 7.30 PM, Thursday 15th December
The film is 40 mins long
Upon leaving the cinema, please make a donation to cover some of our costs and to support your film club.
Please DO NOT book a seat if you are not sure of your availability; each booking reduces the number of seats available to others. If you cannot attend, please cancel your reservation as soon as possible by going to "MY TICKETS" on the Eventbrite confirmation email: this will release your seat to someone else...
Or you can send me a message...
If the film is SOLD OUT, there will be an automated waiting list which will contact you if a seat becomes available.
