The White Thistle Ball is THE party of the year for 11-14 year olds!
All proceeds go to our two worthy children's charities (please see our website www.whitethistleball.com)
We have our Star DJ Christian Williams (Virgin Radio) on the decks again and our, now famous, Tombola. This will be crammed full of incredible prizes; many of them money-can't buy items and experiences, along with Beats headphones, signed football shirts and balls, UE speakers, theatre and football tickets...the list is endless!
In addition to the Tombola we have fantastic entertainments and photo-booths, and your ticket price includes a £10 entertainments wristband to spend on it all! Of course you can buy more wristbands on the night!
There is also a VIP yurt for the year 9's which is always very popular :)
Diner-style supper, Krispy-Kreme donuts and drinks are FREE!!
What can/can’t I bring to the event?
You will need to bring your Eventbrite ticket with you (with your name on it) which has a one-time scannable bar code. Please bring the paper version. We also have well organised cloak rooms so do bring a coat if you want and some money in case you want to buy an extra £10 wristband (you get 1 free wristband worth £10 to spend on the tombola and entertainments).
How can I contact the organisers with any questions?
Please contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org
What should I do if I don’t know all the names of the children in my party?
Order the number of tickets you need and use your child’s name for each ticket and your contact details. Make sure you have set up an account with Eventbrite and have not entered as a “Guest User”. You can then go back in to your account and update details at a later date and before the night.
Do I need to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Yes. You will need to bring the printed ticket and not just a mobile phone version. This will facilitate you getting into the party quickly.
The name on the printed ticket doesn’t match the attendee. Is that ok?
I am afraid not. The ticket must have the child’s name on it and the mobile phone details of the adult collecting them. When you book tickets please ensure you create an account at Eventbrite so that you can edit/update your attendee details in advance of the night and before printing.
What is the dress code?
Hot……. Come to party!
Public transport is the easiest way to arrive at the party as King Street can be busy and parking can be tricky. If you do intend to travel by car, we can help alleviate parking issues as we have our team helpers (wearing WTBall T-shirts) on hand, road-side on King Street in front of the Town Hall. They can ferry children to the door.
Pick up - Can I arrange a taxi pick up for my son/ daughter?
We take the safety of all the children attending the party very seriously. This includes ensuring they are collected at the end by the parent/adult who is stated on their ticket.
Is there food at the ball?
Yes! Included in the ticket price is a diner style supper, soft drinks and Krispy Kreme donut for every party goer.
What adults are at The Ball for my child to speak to if they need anything?
We have a large team of parents and teen helpers (who will wear special tee shirts so that they can be found) who are circulating within the party from beginning to end. They are on hand to answer any questions.
I am year 9. How do I get into the VIP Yurt?
Please complete your school year on the ticket application. On the night please come to the Welcome Help Desk where you will receive a stamp which secures your access to this special area.
We will use the details you have provided for administration purposes only and managing the safety of children on the night.
What is your returns policy?
I am afraid that we are not able to refund ticket purchase prices for tickets that can no longer be used. We are also sorry that we are not able to offer to sell your ticket to another interested party. This is a charitable fund raising event and 100% of the money raised goes to our two local children's charities.
