Whilst the Detailed Market Sounding survey on Scope 3 Reporting and Target Setting is currently ongoing, an understanding of Scope 3 will be vital to meet the finalised detail of the requirement.
As part of the NHS England Supplier Roadmap towards net zero, suppliers are already required to publish a Carbon Reduction Plan in line with PPN 06/21 as a pass/fail element in NHS tenders. Further updates to reporting expectations are anticipated, including expanded requirements on global operations and Scope 3 emissions.
To support members with their preparation, we will be hosting a webinar with Sarah Joy Newton, a sustainability lead, experienced tender writer, and NHS procurement expert.
The session will provide an overview of the NHS Supplier Roadmap requirements, base year and reporting boundaries, Scopes 1 and 2, and a detailed look at all 15 categories of Scope 3. It will also include guidance on data collection and conversion factors, with time set aside for questions.
