## The Trail Experience
This delightful trail begins with gentle, undulating terrain through the low hills on the north side of the Medway Valley, leading toward the picturesque village of Hartfield, where A.A. Milne once lived at nearby Cotchford Farm. The famous Pooh Corner shop draws visitors eager to explore the literary connection, while the world-renowned Pooh Sticks Bridge offers the chance to play the simple game invented by Pooh himself.The heart of the trail lies within Ashdown Forest, the largest area of elevated heathland in south-east England and the inspiration for the Hundred Acre Wood. The Long Walk climbs steadily through this expansive woodland, continuing around the valley rim where recognizable features from the stories await – including Pooh's Heffalump Trap. The route includes a celebrated viewpoint with a plaque commemorating A.A. Milne and E.H.
