It's time for our second #REALTALK Event!

We'll be exploring the link between Mental and Reproductive Health and in celebration of Black History Month we'll be exploring why Black Women are TWICE as likely to present with infertility and serious mental health problems compared to other women and how our cultural narratives contribute to our perceptions of womanhood.



WE'LL BE DISCUSSING: THE INTERSECTION BETWEEN MENTAL HEALTH AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH, WHY BLACK WOMEN ARE MORE LIKELY TO PRESENT WITH BOTH MENTAL HEALTH AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH PROBLEMS & HOW THIS INTERSECTS WITH OUR DAILY LIVES.

THIS EVENT IS WOMEN ONLY DUE TO THE NATURE OF DISCUSSIONS AND THE IMPORTANCE OF ENSURING WOMEN ONLY SPACES ARE MADE AVAILABLE AND PROTECTED. WE WILL BE HOSTING A MIXED EVENT LATER IN THE SERIES TO HELP MEN UNDERSTAND, LEARN AND SHOW SOLIDARITY WITH OUR LIVED EXPERIENCES AS WOMEN.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

There's no need to bring ID but please be aware the purpose of these events is to provide women with spaces for OPEN, HONEST & UNAPOLOGETIC conversations about women's bodies and experiences so some things may not be appropriate for young women under 18.

Is the venue accessible?

Yes!

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

National Rail / Tube

Nearest Tube stations are Kennington and Elephant & Castle which are both 15 minutes walk from the venue

Bus

It is easily accessible from Walworth Rd. Liverpool Grove is situated between “Box Clever” and “Rooster’s” opposite Iceland on the Walworth Rd.

InSpire from:Elephant & Castle – Bus Stops D, M & H for buses 12, 68, 148, 171, 176, 468

Bus Stops C,G & L for buses 40, 35, 45

Liverpool Grove is on the left hand side of the road after Marks and Spencers. Get off outside Abbey National opposite Iceland, approximately 3 stops from the Elephant and Castle. St.Peter’s is visible from the main road.

Camberwell Green –Bus Stops are situated next to each other opposite Camberwell Green outside Kembers and Lawrence the chemist. Buses 12,171, 35, 45, 148, 40, 68,176, 468 all service Walworth Rd. Ask for “East Street” Get off opposite Marks and Spencers. Walk back towards Iceland & Abbey National. Liverpool Grove will be on your left. Approximately 6 stops from Camberwell Green.

Parking – The closest street parking is pay and display on Liverpool Grove for only 2 hours at a time and the surrounding streets.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No! Let's save trees and Uterus' As long as you've booked your ticket just turn up on the day and we can check you off the list on the door!

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

If you can't make it for any reason but want to gift your ticket to someone else just drop us an email and let us know and we'll be happy to transfer it for you!

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Sometimes you buy tickets for friends, family and other badass babes if that's the case just drop us an email and let us know who you're bringing or ensure your invitees give your name on the door!
