Event description

Description

The end of May is a fantastic time to visit RSPB Ouse Washes. Join the reserve Warden Paul for an early morning two kilometre walk around parts of the reserve that aren’t usually open to the public. This is your opportunity to experience the peaceful ambience of the washes and connect with the sights and sounds of our breeding birds. Highlights will include seeing aerobatic lapwings tumbling through the air and common snipe drumming overhead. The local yellow wagtails will also be feeding on the grassland and tree sparrows can be seen near the visitor centre. If you are lucky, you may also see corn buntings, cuckoos and garganeys. This walk is limited to 10 participants so booking is essential.
