Are you nostalgic for the toys of your childhood or maybe you’re a collector or enthusiast maybe? If so then join me on this tour of the unique and world renowned Toy and Model Museum. See old familiar favourites plus extremely rare toys you won’t see anywhere else!
Meccano, Dinky, Hornby, Pelham and Steiff are some of the big name toy producers of 1900s exhibited here but you’ll also see iconic Victorian toys from the 1800s. Have you maybe heard of the WW1 characters of Pip, Squeal and Wilfred or did you perhaps own or inherit a Tin Plate toy from that era?
The museum’s displays draw on a core collection, also treasured guest collections, comprising over twelve thousand items. I will highlight a ‘Top Ten’ just for you including rare coin operated old animatronic boxes, many of which rescued from the Brighton Palace Pier and other English seaside towns which will bring back long lost childhood memories.
