Event description

Description

You may have heard of Wicca or seen it mention in films and tv programmes but what is it really about? You could be at a cross roads, perhaps moving away from the religious beliefs you were taught in childhood and looking to develop your knowledge of other forms of spirituality. If you are seeking to learn more in a safe, friendly and relaxed environment, where all your questions are welcomed and can be answered – then this introduction into Wicca Workshop is for you!

Join us and Laura a Wiccan practitioner for over twenty- five years, as she introduces you to Wicca, one of the largest neopagan religious practices around the world. Come and discover the basic concepts of Wicca, its history, the rise of popularity of Wicca, and the moral code of Wicca.

The workshop will cover:

  1. Wiccan Law and Principals

  2. Goddesses and Gods in Wicca

  3. Wheel of the Year – the 8 Sabbats celebrated through ritual and festivals

  4. Importance of the Moon- Triple Goddess, Esbats and rituals.

  5. Elements and Quarters- Casting a Circle, Symbols & qualities of Air/fire/Water/Earth

  6. Altars and Shrines- tools, purpose and occasions.

  7. Spell craft in Wicca

  8. Where to go from here?

Throughout the workshop there will be handouts to support areas being covered with a mixture of demonstrations, explanations and fun activities. The workshop will end with advice on your next step and a Guided Meditation.
