Description

Step back in time to the 12th Century and beyond. Join us on an atmospheric adventure through the High Medieval ages.

An engaging tour - witness dramatic encounters with characters connected to the Abbey's 870 years of colourful history.

You will meet Cistercian Monks, famous Ladies of Medieval society and the notorious King John.The journey continues with the Dissolution by King Henry VIII and the final recovery of the Abbey by the Talbot family.


Theatrical performances which bring the amazing Grade 1 listed Abbey back to life!

  • Tours on alternative days, weekends and evenings by arrangement.

There are no minimum age requirements, please let us know if your children will attend. We have interactive educational activties that can be arranged for them.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Parking is available at Margam Country Park (charges apply).

Are there disabled / mobility access arrangements?

The tour is on level ground. Parking is availble for Disabled Badge holders at the Orangery Car Park at Margam Country Park. Terms and facilities please see http://www.margamcountrypark.co.uk/1998

From the Orangery the access to the Abbey is on level ground.

Level access also from Margam Abbey car park through the front door.
