The Glad Café, Glasgow: May 29th/30th, 2015

Glasgow’s creative hub The Glad Café, and reputable music ‘zine GoldFlakePaint, will team up this Summer to present the first ever Sucker Punch festival – a two-day event that will tie-in with GoldFlakePaint’s 5th Birthday and play host to some of Scotland’s best musical talent, as well as a handful of emerging acts from further afield.

Already confirmed for this years event, which takes place on May 29th and 30th, are:

Crafters of elegant electro-pop, we’re very pleased to have Babe at this year’s Sucker Punch. Last years Moshi Moshi-released LP was one of 2014’s highlights and they’ve a live show to match.

Joining them on the bill is Glasgow’s finest new guitar band Tuff Love, the wonderful Kathyrn Joseph whose long-awaited LP ‘Bones You Have Thrown Me And Blood I've Spilled’ is currently winning serious acclaim for its understated beauty.

Elsewhere, expect gloriously fuzzy garage-pop from Leeds’ hotly-tipped Bruising, experimental soundscapes from Edinburgh’s Wolf, a special live-visual show courtesy of Edinburgh alt-folk hero Rob St. John, gorgeous melodic folk-pop from new Fatcat signing C.Duncan and the magic of Small Wonder.

To close the festival, we're honoured and delighted to be showing the new documentary, Heaven Adores You, looking at the life and music of one of our heroes, Elliot Smith.

With many more bands still to be announced, Sucker Punch is shaping up to be the perfect way to kick-start the Summer. Come and join us!
