About this event
The Hated Self - Clinical Interventions for creating new internal relationships
Workshop Synopsis:
This workshop delves into the complex experience of self-hatred and equips therapists with the tools to support clients in transforming their relationship with themselves. We will explore the origins of the hated self, its impact on emotional well-being, and the defense mechanisms that reinforce negative self-perception. Through a blend of theoretical insight and practical techniques, therapists will learn how to help clients regulate overwhelming emotions, dismantle self-critical beliefs, and nurture a journey from deep self-rejection to authentic self-love.
Rima is a BACP registered Psychotherapist, DBT and EMDR Practitioner and Clinical Supervisor. She is Director of RHCP, and clinical lead of our specialist therapies services.
