Then and Now: People and Place in Nottingham
Mon 3 April 2017, 18:00 – 20:00 BST
The Digital Humanities Centre, located within the Humanities building on University Park, houses an extensive collection of over 80,000 fine art, architecture, and classics slides. The collection is maintained by a group of student volunteers who employ archive maintenance, classification systems, copyright and intellectual property rights to create a digital and physical database of these valuable visual resources. Working together with the community in Nottingham, as well as students from around the University, the collections team has curated a small exhibition showcasing slides that tell the story of Nottingham as a city, its history and how its changing social make-up and architecture have impacted those who call the city home.
