Theoretical and Applied Challenges of Transformative Experiences
Date and time
Internationally renowned researchers, as well as young and upcoming researchers present their recent work on transformative experience
About this event
The aim of the workshop is to explore both the theoretical challenges that the notion of transformative experience raises for decision-theory, as well as potential fruitful application of that notion in other fields which are of interest not only to philosophers but also to behavioural economists at Stirling who work on related issues of rational choice and its application in a health economics context.
This conference will continue a recently established collaboration between the Behavioural Scientists, Economists and Philosophers at the University of Stirling. In autumn 2018, we organised the first collaborative conference on “Applied Ethics of Nudging” (http://www.ethicsofnudge.philipebert.info) which was kindly sponsored by the Scots Philosophical Association. Given its great success, this workshop will continue this collaboration with the Behavioural Science Centre at Stirling.
