Description

A short two hour course to explore some of the key theories and principles of team working and building and leading in teams. We will study the difference between teams and groups, individual and collective working practices, how teams thrive or fail, how to develop an open and shared learning environment and how to motivate individuals and build team effectiveness. We will look at ideas from a variety of activities including the worlds of business, sport, theatre and medicine.

The course will focus on your own goals for team working and help you to become a better informed and knowledgeable team member and potential leader.

Please note that this will be a relaxed but highly interactive course and the more you put in, the more you will get out!

Notes and materials will be forwarded after the course to participants.

Skills to be explored: Understanding team working and how effective teams work, understanding how all team members must learn to lead and co-operate, how different skills and perspectives create strength but also how teams fail if managed or lead badly.
