Intro to theremins: the magic of music without touchWe are two Edinburgh-based thereminists who’d be delighted to show you the principles behind playing the theremin.
What you can expect:

* Some science
* A lot of music
* Tremendous fun
* The opportunity to make noise like you’ve never made noise before
Joining us:We will have a number of theremins on the day, of at least three different professional models. Previous musical experience is not required, although as always when trying a new musical instrument, it’ll definitely help you.
The sessions will be around 2 hours in small groups at 11.30am and 2:30pm. We'll contact you with your allocated slot - let us know (ScottishTheremin@outlook.com) if you can only make one of those slots. We will have a reserve list should this be oversubscribed.
We are not making a profit from this - the fee helps us with transporting material across town (« Theremin delivery by Taxi »: sadly not a feature film).
We will be having lunch (our host Leith Depot does a wonderful soup & sandwich deal!). Feel free to join us.
