We’re proud to welcome Zoe Ellwood, Strategic Business Development Manager at Turning Point, as our next speaker in the Things I Wish I’d Known series - an event that celebrates honest reflections, real-life resilience, and the lessons we wish we’d known earlier in our careers.
Zoe’s story is one of grit, growth, and transformation. Leaving school at 15 with no qualifications, becoming a young mum at 17, and working minimum wage jobs (including peeling king prawns for £2.20/hour!), Zoe’s early path was far from easy.
But everything changed at 23, when she made a pivotal decision to revisit education and explore career options she never thought were meant for “someone like her.” Today, she holds degrees in Criminology and Criminal Justice, and has led impactful work across prisons, recovery services, and social prescribing.
Now, as Strategic Business Development Manager, Zoe is passionate about sharing the triumphs and trials of her journey - and the things she wishes she’d known along the way.
Whether you're just starting out, navigating change, or mentoring others, this session, sponsored by Esh Group, promises to offer comfort, courage, and clarity.
