Tom Roebuck (UEA) and Sophie Butler (University of Oxford) will lead a workshop exploring what kind of books people were reading in seventeenth-century Norfolk and how they read them. The session will focus on an extraordinary 17th-century manuscript commonplace book in the Norfolk Record Office, which participants will have a chance to handle and discuss.
