Think Africa Week is a flagship series of events of Think Africa since 2013 that has become one of the biggest Africa and African diaspora inspired event in Finland.

It's a thought-leadership platform where matters relevant for the African diaspora and the Finnish society are addressed.

Think Africa Week 2025 is a week of empowering events exploring how local and global shifts are reshaping the diaspora experience, from policy changes to personal growth, and offering tools to not just adapt, but thrive.

Discover career and entrepreneurial opportunities, connect with mentors, and access Finland’s hidden job market.

  • September 4 (13:00-17:00). The Power of Policy & Tools for Navigating Change in Finland. Address: The Theatre Academy Helsinki, Haapaniemenkatu 6, 00530 Helsinki.

Learn how policy changes affect immigration, education, NGOs, and your rights. 🗣️ Expert insights, panel discussions & networking

  • September 5 (16:00-21:00). Wellness & Empowerment For The Youth. Address: Annantalo, Annankatu 30, 00100 Helsinki.

Youth-led sessions on mental health, sustainability, fashion upcycling & self-care.

  • September 6 (15:00-18:00). Art, Culture & Connection Address: Annantalo, Annankatu 30, 00100 Helsinki.

Hands-on workshops in storytelling, Afro-diasporic dance & community art.
