Think you know engineering? Think again
Event Information
About this Event
We think engineering is a misunderstood profession. From hard hats to high viz, engineering is often associated with heavy machines, building bridges and fixing things.
TEDI-London has teamed up with the Black Women in Engineering (BWeng) network to bring to life the hidden side of engineering and show that engineering is creative, multi-disciplinary and a great career choice for the 21st Century.
If you're thinking about studying engineering or curious to know what a career in engineering is actually like, tune in to hear from our inspiring panel of engineering professionals, who will share their experiences first-hand and debunk common myths about engineering.
The panel:
Host: Mimi Nwosu - Civil Engineer at Sir Robert McAlpine
Abi Ajani - Process Engineer and Cofounder of Black Women in Engineering
Neera Kukadia - Project Engineer at Transport for London
Emma Crichton - Head of Engineering and Engineers Without Borders UK
Rhys Morgan - Director, Royal Academy of Engineering
Moderator: Damilola Fari-Arole - Systems and RAM Engineer at Network Rail
This is a Zoom event and attendees will have the chance to ask the panel any questions they may have around studying or working in engineering.
