Description

A half day conference for NELFT staff bringing together CAMHS practitioners from London, Essex and Kent to share information about new projects, initiatives and services that are allowing teams to meet the mental health needs of young people in the region in innovative and creative ways.

Featuring speakers including:

-Dr Tara Weeremanthri, Consultant Psychiatrist leading The Hope Project in Southwark, treating young people who have suffered trauma, South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust

- Sophie Marshal, Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Forensic CAMHS Service Manager, The Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust

- Dr Tessa Reardon, Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Psychiatry and Department of Experimental Psychology at the University of Oxford. Dr Reardon has considerable experience of conducting research with families affected by child anxiety difficulties in community and clinical settings, and research focused on improving access to evidence-based treatment.
