About this event
Many charities and social enterprises operating in Scotland want to make changes that benefit the environments and communities that they operate in, but don’t know where to start. Social Investment Scotland is running some short workshops, illustrating case studies of charities and social enterprises that have used investment to make changes to make them operate more sustainably. This ranges from organisations that have used cycling as a way to deliver services, community transport organisations retrofitting busses, to sports organisations making changes to buildings, football pitch lighting or even how community cafes operate. We’ve made available a £5 million fund Net Zero Transition Fund for charities and social enterprises that don’t work in the environmental space that need both funding and practical support to operate more sustainably, as well as those organisations that work in the environmental space that are developing programmes that significantly impact on Net Zero. There is also some grant funding and practical support in partnership with Zero Waste Scotland.
