London College of Fashion, UAL is delighted to invite you to the launch of the new edition of Thinking Through Fashion: A Guide to Key Theorists, edited by Agnès Rocamora and Anneke Smelik.

Published by Bloomsbury, this updated edition includes four new chapters - on Edward Said, bell hooks, Frantz Fanon, and W.E.B. Du Bois - as well as essential revisions reflecting key developments in fashion and fashion studies.

The editors will be in conversation with the authors of the new chapters - Reina Lewis, Tanveer Ahmed, Serkan Delice, and Luciana Scrutchen - exploring how the theories they engage with can illuminate the social and cultural dynamics of fashion.

The discussion will be followed by an open Q&A.

This event will take place in the Lecture Theatre, M01 on the mezzanine floor.
