Third Annual Game Jam Play Party - Glasgow

We're kicking off 2014 as we do every year by inviting Global Game Jam teams from across Scotland to our traditional annual Game Jam Play Parties. Showcase your games, play each other's, get feedback, and vote for your favourite to win the IGDA Scotland Community Choice award in your city.

This year though, we're going above and beyond tradition by hosting not one but two Play Parties: Glasgow (12th Feb) and Dundee (19th Feb). We're encouraging as many jammers as possible to come along to their local party, or even travel to show off your games to people in other cities.

Do I need to print out and bring by Eventbrite ticket?

No, we will have a guest list at the door and can check you in electronically. There is no need to waste trees on a paper ticket.

How can I register as an exhibitor to showcase my game?

If your team has already filled out the pre-registration Google Form that was emailed to you during the Global Game Jam, you're all ready to go! If you didn't get an email with a link to the Google Form to pre-register, or you need to change your response, please contact info@igdascotland.org and we'll sort you out.

As an exhibitor, do I need to bring my own equipment?

Yes you do. We won't be able to provide hardware on the night for people to play your game on besides a power socket (don't play with the mains, kids), so it's important that you bring your own equipment. If you'll be showcasing a mobile game on your own phone or tablet, that's all you need (bring your charger just in case). Also bear in mind that there will be no internet access at the venue, not even 3G.

If you need a PC, laptop or console, you will need to provide and transport these yourself. Don't forget the usual peripherals, cables, a single monitor, controllers (if you need them) and your own extension lead. We can only promise a single power socket on the night, so having your own extension lead is essential.

IGDA Scotland, like the rest of the IGDA around the world, is powered by volunteers.
