In this #ThirdThursdays event, we'll be revealing the creative process of artist Alison Carlier.
Carlier became the Alexandra Reinhardt Memorial Award (ARMA) 2016 artist-in-residence in May 2016, residing in Aspex's new Artist's Studio.
The residency, managed by engage (The National Association for Gallery Education), saw Carlier leading participatory workshops for family and children in Portsmouth, leading to the production of a new semi-permanent artwork to be located about Aspex's Artist's Studio.
Prior to the residency, Carlier won the Jerwood Drawing Prize in 2014.
This informal session with see the artist questioned about her practice, residency and the process behind designing the new artwork, entitled 'Flourish'.
The event is open to the public at just £3 per person. Concessionary tickets are available for Aspex Artist Associates and volunteers.
