Event description
Wirral Forest: wellbeing. This Autumn: a mindful walking experience to Hilbre island of about 5 km.

About this event

About this event

Hilbre island in the Dee estuary is a hidden gem of the North West of England, but it is still only a stone's throw from Liverpool, Manchester and only 2 1/2 hrs from London.

These experiences are all planned to start three hours after high water, which gives ample time to get there and back before it is necessary to leave before the next high tide. This walk is for individuals capable of a three-hour moderate Sunday afternoon walk, and you must be aware that is can be slippery and uneven underfoot on the island.

It will be necessary for all participants to wear sensible shoes, have access to waterproofs and dress appropriately for the weather as well as have sufficient warm drinks and snacks during the experience (we do not supply these). The weather can be very changeable and if inclement the activity will be postponed or cut short at the discretion of the group leader.

This activity is free, but a booking fee is required gratuities are most welcome to help pay for future marketing.
