Local history speaker David Casement will explore the life and work of Thomas Brassey (1805 – 1870). Educated at the King’s School, Chester, Brassey moved to Birkenhead, becoming Storeton Quarry Manager, a local benefactor and world railway builder – a man who David Casement will argue is an unsung hero.
