Event description

Description

Soprano Mary Bevan, fresh from her Carnegie Hall debut in Handel's 'Ariodante', joins violinist and Akili Trust Patron Thomas Gould and pianist Peter Foggitt for an unusually varied programme from Baroque music to 20th century Estonian minimalism. The centrepiece of their programme is Vaughan Williams' song cycle for soprano and violin 'Along The Field', as well as his song for soprano, violin and piano 'How Cold The Wind Doth Blow', recently recorded to critical acclaim by Bevan and Gould on the album 'Purer Than Pearl'. -https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ziFoPz0sFe4

In addition, Peter Foggitt will demonstrate his remarkable gift for improvisation in any style at the piano, drawing upon themes suggested by audience members.
