Since winning second prize in the 2022 Hastings International Piano Competition, Thomas Kelly has gone from strength to strength. Last year he was awarded the Royal College of Music's most prestigious prize, the Benjamin Britten Piano Fellowship, and recently he made his Wigmore Hall solo recital debut. He retains a soft spot for Sussex, and we're delighted that this year he returns to the area with a fascinating programme featuring music by Liszt and Beethoven, including a rare chance to hear Liszt's arrangement of Beethoven's Pastoral symphony.

Programme:

Ludwig van Beethoven - Sonata No 26 Op 81a Les Adieux
Franz Liszt - Symphonic Poem No 3, Les Préludes S97 (arr. Karl Klauser)

Interval

Ludwig van Beethoven - Symphony No 6 in F major Op 68 Pastoral (arr. Liszt)

There is plenty of free parking at Vinehall School.
