Threads of Hope Launch Party

Threads of Hope is a Community Interest Company (CIC) launched in conjunction with HMP Low Newton, Durham. We are a team of professional passionate women who believe in second chances and the power of purposeful work to change lives.

We know that nearly a third of women entering prison are repeat offenders, and that women leaving prison are significantly less likely than men to secure employment. Many face complex needs and barriers that make rebuilding their lives even harder.

Our Community Engagement Project is designed to break this cycle. By manufacturing bags for life for food banks and kits for the homeless from recycled clothing, we give female prisoners the opportunity to gain industry-recognised qualifications, valuable work experience, and the chance to contribute to society in meaningful ways.

Through partnerships with UK companies, we aim to create a sustainable, socially responsible initiative. Businesses can get involved through CSR programmes, staff donations, or clothing contributions—helping us support vulnerable communities while empowering women to build brighter futures.

We're beyond excited to announce our exclusive launch party at the Purple Peacock, Newcastle on Thursday 13th November 2025. We have first class live entertainment with music from the movies, with aerial artists and dancing lined up and some incredible raffle prizes on offer too!
