Event Details

Three Monkeys is a monthly event where Steve Lowis and The Art House introduce three more of the best acoustic musical talent around. The format is 'in the round' with all three performers on stage together, taking it in turns, one song at a time.

This month's Monkeys are:
Real Raj, Jack Dale, Davey Jones

The Real Raj is a singer songwriter who has been playing live for years in pubs, clubs, intimate festivals and charity raising gigs around the South Coast of the UK. Depending on when you catch him you will find him playing guitar, harmonica, tambourine, mandolin, kazoo or ukulele - not necessarily in order or all at the same time but sometimes very close.

Have a listen:

Jack is a real marvel and favourite of the Art House and in our opinion, one of the best songwriters around. He is perhaps best known for his band, The Horse.

Have a listen:

Davey Jones' Locker burst onto the Southampton scene ten years ago and quickly established themselves as one of the most exciting and talented covers bands on the pub circuit. The frantic foursome share a passion for performing and continue to deliver their refreshingly energetic set to rock-lovin' crowds all over Hampshire. Catch Davey solo tonight!

Your host for August will be .. TBC

Tickets are, £4.00 (early bird), £5.00, or £8.00 on the day. Advance ticket money for these events goes to the artists, while on-the-day money goes to The Art House.

Sit back, relax, enjoy. The sound is first class, there's a varied selection of craft ales, lagers and ciders in the bar downstairs, and a friendly audience who are there to enjoy the music, primarily. Always expect the unexpected and be prepared to find a makeshift instrument if the occasion arises.

Travel information:-

We are a city centre venue and parking can be in short supply.  If you are driving, please make sure you leave plenty of time to find a space click here for a map of where the nearest parking spaces can be found.

We recommend Kings Park Road car park:
We are about 10 minutes walk from Southampton City Centre train station (head up the hill toward the Guildhall clock tower) and on the route for most city centre buses (the Unilink U1 stops virtually outside.)
