Threshold: Curator’s talk and Meet the Exhibitors
Overview
A curator’s talk will be held on Sunday, 14 December, from 3–4pm, exploring the central themes of the exhibition. Guests will also be guided through the works on display and have the opportunity to hear directly from the artists and design practitioners featured in Threshold.
Threshold is a three day art exhibition from the 12th - 14th December at Bell House which will bring together six creative people whose work, whilst grounded in traditional skills, is contemporary. Whether basketry, intaglio printing or rug making, they’ve all eloquently allowed time old processes to be an intrinsic part of their creativity.
As makers, their stories are intriguing, bridging the past and presence, and smudging traditional art preconceptions, it is these stories, threaded in their work, that brings them together into this one exhibition.
The exhibitors present for the talk are:
Tom Crowley
Vedat Demiralp, Coban Rugs
Ned Elliott
Kirsten Hecktermann
Pip Rice
