This month we are welcoming Sue Kearns, Head of Energy Division, Scottish Government to present to our guests.
The Scottish Government recognises climate change will have far reaching effects on Scotland's economy, its people and its environment and is determined to play its part in tackling climate change.
Energy is not just needed to keep Scotland's businesses, hospitals and schools running; heat our homes; and transport goods and people - energy also plays a vital role in Scotland's economy. Scotland accounts for around nine per cent of the UK's total energy consumption, but is rich in energy resources.
Sue Kearns is Acting Head of the Energy Division in the Scottish Government, which is currently engaged on developing a new Energy Strategy for Scotland. In earlier roles, she led on the development of community energy policy in the Scottish Government, renewable energy, and broadband.
