About this event

• Are you a budding food & drink or rural entrepreneur?

• Do you want to improve your business skills and product development knowledge?

• Do you want to network with other entrepreneurs in Scotland’s food & drink and rural sector?

The THRIVE programme is for the next generation of entrepreneurs in Scotland's food & drink and rural sector. Participants will gain essential business skills and food science knowledge to support their business idea. Whether your idea is a new product, service or a food & drink related rural diversification, this programme could benefit you.

Sessions are delivered by industry experts at SAC Consulting/SRUC and the Scottish Centre for Food Development and Innovation/QMU.

Programme is open to Scottish;

  • SMEs food and drink businesses
  • students and graduates
  • entrepreneurs who have a product or service idea

A Certificate of Attendance is provided for attending THRIVE sessions.

A combination of webinars and interactive in person workshop will be delivered in September 2025.

We would highly recommend attending all sessions but it is not compulsory. Please note sessions will NOT be recorded, material will be sent after each event.

The deadline for applying for THRIVE Fundamentals is midnight Friday 30th August 2025
