About the Conference
The 7th Thurrock Business Conference will highlight the free support available to small and medium sized businesses in Thurrock, as well as showcasing the grant funding available through the new Low Carbon Across the South East (LoCASE) programme.
Following on from the update given on the boroughs six growth hubs at the previous conference we will also be giving delegates the chance to hear much more about the exciting plans for the regeneration of Purfleet from a representative of Purfleet Centre Regeneration Limited (PCRL).
When booking, you will be able to choose from one of two seminars designed to highlight the funding & support available to local businesses in the borough. Representatives from the professional services sector, the BEST Growth Hub, as well as members of the Low Carbon Across the South East (LoCASE) team will participate in the seminars to provide an insight into the benefits of outsourcing professional services, and the advantages of grant funding.
Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW)
As this conference will be linking in with Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW), we will be inviting Lewis Austen & Curtis Smith, managing directors of Honestly Fresh Foods Ltd to give a presentation on their business.

Low Carbon Grants & Support
This seminar is designed to showcase the benefits of the LoCASE grant funding that is available to small and medium sized enterprises (SME's) across the South East, as well as general advice on how to improve your business energy efficiency - for more info on the LoCASE programme, please visit http://www.locase.co.uk

- Business Energy Advisors will be giving free advice and arranging appointments for free energy audits.
Business Support & Advice Marketplace
This informal marketplace session, lead by Palmers Law, who will be giving an update on the latest changes to employment laws, while showcasing the benefits of the professional services available in Thurrock.
The BEST Growth Hub will also providing information on the FREE support that is available to all small and medium sized businesses across the South East.

Following feedback received from previous conferences, we have arranged an hour long open networking session after the two main sessions have ended and closing remarks have finished.
Most businesses that attend our event feel like it is a great opportunity to network with those they rarely get to see, they also feel that they do not have enough time to work the whole room.
This session is dedicated to maximising the networking potential of the conference, and will take place after the Low Carbon and Business Support seminars.

09:00 - Delegates are directed to specific rooms and the two business support seminars begin (45 mins)
09:45 - Business support seminars end, and delegates return to main conference hall for closing remarks. (15 mins)
