How to Get Referrals, Build your Network, Grow your Revenues

Creating relationships with new contacts and extending your network to reach target individuals is an important and valuable skill. In charities in particular, those in senior roles &/or with responsibility for partnerships and fundraising will need to build new relationships effectively to succeed.

It is widely acknowledged that if you want to speak to someone for the first time, arrange meetings & winning business with potential prospects is easier if you are referred or introduced. Studies also show that success rates are better from referrals & decisions are often made faster.

This means that organisations who want to grow revenues quickly need to be able to create a steady stream of good quality referrals, introductions & recommendations. To achieve this you need to be confident asking for referrals from your network of contacts.

SNH have been helping teams to do this effectively for the past 10 years. Now part of the SNH FREE Charities training, we will share our tools, tips and techniques in a 2.5hr workshop to help you in this vital area.

  • The mental game—how to get in the right frame of mind & remove the fear of asking for referrals & introductions

  • How to make following up referrals & introductions easy & comfortable for both parties

  • The key things to avoid (the don’ts)

  • Using LinkedIn effectively to generate quality introductions

  • Preparation & planning—the minimum standards
