We will be sharing ideas around how to engage this year with Thy Kingdom Come in Scotland, pointing to resources and answering any questions
About this event
Thy Kingdom Come is an annual prayer initiative that happens in the 10 days between Ascension and Pentecost. It began a number of years ago as a call to the British Church to prayer and to a Pentecost-like boldness in sharing the Hope we carry. It has since become global and ecumenical.
The two-fold prayer focus of Thy Kingdom Come this year is 1) Those who have not yet met Jesus and found their way into the family of God 2) Those who have walked away from Jesus and His family, maybe due to the hardships of this past year. And of course there remains the consistent prayer for us as Jesus’ followers to be filled with His Spirit and courage to go out and invite His deeply loved children to come home. Essentially, we are praying for a great Homecoming!
This year, we as 24-7 Prayer Scotland would like to invite you and your church/missional community/organisation to get involved!
Would you join us in praying 24/7 throughout the 10 days between Ascension and Pentecost, 13 – 23 May, for a great Homecoming in our nation of Scotland? And would you consider doing that in unity with other churches, etc in your area?
We recently published an article on our website outlining some ideas and resources ( https://24-7scotland.com/thy-kingdom-come-homecoming ) but the opportunity to actually discuss, ask questions and inspire one another is always better. So we are offering two different times to join us as the 24-7 Prayer Scotland team and others on zoom to do just that.
Tuesday, 27 April, 10.30 - 11.30am
Thursday, 29 April, 8 - 9pm
We hope to see you at one of these times!
