Thy Kingdom Come Lancashire Beacon Prayer Event with Roy Crowne from Hope
Wed 24 May 2017, 19:30 – 21:00 BST
Thy Kingdom Come is a global prayer movement which the Archbishop of Canterbury is inviting people around the world to join. He is calling on Christians to pray that people might come to know Jesus Christ during a focused time between Ascension and Pentecost from 25th May – 4th June 2017. During that time, communities and churches around the world are gathering together to pray that their friends, families and neighbours might come to know Jesus Christ. Prayer events of all shapes and sizes will be taking place.
On Wednesday 24th May at 7.30pm, the Eve of "Thy Kingdom Come", Backburn Cathedral is the venue for the Lancashire "Thy Kingdom Come" Beacon Event. At this, people from across the diocese will gather together to pray for the empowering of the Holy Spirit for effective worship before going back to our own towns and villages to continue to pray together during that time.
The evening will include times of prayer, sung worship, and we will also hear from Roy Crowne, HOPE Together Executive Director and one of the founders of HOPE who is joining us for the evening. The vision for HOPE is a growing church, showing Jesus’ love and telling the Jesus story at the heart of every community. Being part of HOPE 2018 means being intentional about inviting people to become followers of Jesus.
Please plan to come along on Wednesday 24th May at 7.30pm and join with us in prayer
