This e l e m e n t series of the signature heart opening cacao ceremonies leads us in 4 ceremonies through the different universal elements. It opens a space for you to experience them within yourself and channel their energy through your heart into your life.

Each ceremony will explore the element in their own unique way, all held by the love and universal embodiment of nature of mother cacao. Time to be, surrender, explore and unfold to the magical being that we are.

BACKGROUND

Honouring and celebrating cacao as a sacred drink is an ancient tradition, originating from the Maya in Mesoamerica.

In the Mayan Cosmo Vision, Cacao plays a fundamental role : opening pathways to the divine realms, allowing connection to elements and subtle forces. As “food of the gods” Cacao enjoyed high value and significance for thousands of years. It was a sign of wealth, power, abundance and fertility. Honoured in rituals, offered to the gods in ceremonies, feasts, burials and sacrifices.

The pure cacao ceremony has been reintroduced in its contemporary and multicultural form not so long ago. As this spirit plant is coming back to support the shift of humanity into the heart space.

Cacao is a seed that stimulates the physical and energetic heart space, dilating blood vessels and increasing blood circulation yet also raising energetically heart frequency through its psychoactive effects. Rich in neurotransmitters like theobromine, anandamide and tryptamine, the stimulant effects of cacao are various. From being a soft, durable energiser to an enhancer for happiness, pleasure and motivation. Cacao is a superfood being highly nutritious containing various minerals, antioxidants and healthy fats.

Britta follows the calling of her heart. This brought her 4 years ago to the medicine of Mother Cacao, where she found deep remembrance and embarked on a journey of self-love and care.

Through that she became a space holder for the sacred plant medicine, which is here in her eyes to reconnect us to nature, our inner nature. Opening space to reconnect to who we truly are and finding the courage within our hearts. She has a deep passion for an authentic life that is rooted in the heart. Supporting people on their pathway to the heart. Embodying connectivity and being the founder of “the cacao circle”.

THE CACAO CIRCLE

The cacao that will be served is from “the cacao circle”, wildcrafted ceremonial cacao from the land of the Mayas - Guatemala.

Grown in the mountain region of Alta Verapaz. The fermented, dried seeds are then processed with so much love by women collectives in San Marcos at the heart of Lake Atitlan.

The cacao will be enriched with Mayan Spices that have been traditionally used in the cacao brew.

BEFORE THE CEREMONY

• In preparation for this special ceremony it is best to eat only lightly, enjoy your last meal 2h before the ceremony
• It is not advisable to drink coffee before the ceremony, limit if you must to one cup in the morning
