Event description

Description

Tiger Eye proudly invite the businesses of East Anglia to take part in Tiger Trek 2019 - a three-day charity walk across the Norfolk Coast Path, from Hunstanton to Cromer.

The event is open to businesses and firms across the Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex region, with teams of up to four participants per team. Whether you are up to the challenge of three full days of walking, or whether you just fancy coming along for one day, we invite you to join us in walking, networking and raising vital funds for The Benjamin Foundation - Norfolk and Suffolk's charity against youth homelessness, bullying and abuse.

Experience seaside towns and villages, tidal marshes teeming with wildlife, beaches, woodlands and huge skies, all whilst networking with local businesses as you walk. We are keen to welcome as many teams as we can to the event, so please feel free to discuss the event prior to booking with us.

The Norfolk Coast Path is excited to welcome the Tiger Eye Team and everyone involved in Tiger Trek, for a weekend of sand dunes, salt marsh and sea air. Along the way, Trekkers can enjoy the great local produce available from the fantastic cafes, pubs and delis that line the path.’ - Jack Davidson, Trail Officer for the Norfolk Coast Path.

Early Bird Offer

Those who sign up before the end of March will also be in with a chance of winning a £50 voucher for fitness classes at Dynamic Fitness!

How far will participants walk each day?

We will be averaging 13.5-16 miles per day, to cover the Norfolk Coast Path in 3 days. Walking this distance in a day should be comfortably achievable for someone who has a fit and active lifestyle.

However, we recommend that participants undertake training, precautionary measures and regular exercise to ensure that they feel ready to partake in the event.

Which day of Tiger Trek is the easiest to walk and which is the most demanding?

The three days of Tiger Trek will involve walking 13.5 miles on the Friday, 16 miles on the Saturday and 13.5 miles again on the Sunday.

The first day of the trek (Friday 17th May) is the least physically challenging, as the walk is 13.5 miles and largely flat.

Sunday the 17th May involves walking over the Beeston Bump, which some may be physically demanding or difficult for some walkers. However, the most demanding day of the trek will be Saturday the 18th May, which will involve walking 16 miles, from Burnham Overy to Blakeney. Each of the three days, including walking 16 miles on Saturday, should be achievable by participants with a fit and active lifestyle.
