Tiger Who Came to Tea (4 to 15 Feb 2020)

Event description

Description

Judith Kerr's much loved 1968 classic will be brought to life at Osterley this winter, complete with a life size tiger to cuddle and displays of illustrations to delight all tiger-loving generations.

This special exhibition, originated by Seven Stories, The National Centre for Children’s Books, will bring the book alive for a new generation of audiences. Taking place from 11 January to 1 March 2020, the exhibition features displays of Judith Kerr's illustrations and gives children the chance to step into Sophie’s kitchen to have tea with the tiger himself. Children will also get involved with storytelling, crafts making and dressing up.

The exhibition is free for National Trust members. Non-members will need to purchase an admission ticket. Under 5s go free. See Osterley’s website for prices. Please reserve a time slot per individual (also for children).
