Time to Change York - Introduction Event
Date and time
Meet Time to Change York - hear about what we are doing to reduce mental health stigma and discrimination in York and help shape our work.
About this event
Time to Change York is a new local campaign to end mental health stigma and discrimination for our redidents and visitors of York (we are also part of the wider national and global Time to Change campaign). We do this through people sharing their personal lived experiences of mental health problems at any scale, whether formally diagnosed or not, and in a variety of settings, such as through everyday conversations, online via blogs and social media, and in the workplace.
If you are an individual with lived experience or somebody who know’s or works with some one who has (that’d be most of us then, statistically speaking…) please join us if you can for a couple of hours from 10am on Wed 7th August to find out more and to influence our work. We are inviting you, the residents, health professionals, education providers, clubs and societies, large employers, and small local businesses of York to join in, because noone should feel ashamed to talk about mental health and we look forward to meeting you. If you are not able to attend, but would like to find out more, please email Emma on timetochange@yorkcvs.org.uk
