Event description
This EUSEW Side Event will discuss initiatives implemented to support the uptake of zero emission mobility at the local level in Europe.

About this Event

HyER and Transport Scotland are delighted to invite you to their morning workshop on zero emission transport which will take place on Wednesday 19 June from 10.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m at Scotland House in Brussels. The event will start with a welcome coffee at 9.30 and will be followed by a networking lunch.

The decarbonisation of transport will play a critical role in meeting global climate change goals, and in reducing the damage done to human health and the environment by local air pollution. At the local level, both public and private stakeholders will have to develop innovative approaches for the deployment of alternative fuel vehicles, and alternative fuel infrastructure, in order to reduce these emissions.

This workshop will discuss initiatives implemented, or being developed, in a number of European cities and regions, in order to support the uptake of zero emission mobility at the local level. Speakers will consider approaches undertaken for both light and heavy-duty vehicles, as well as cross-cutting issues. A panel discussion will address how progress could be accelerated.

For more information and the agenda, please visit the event page on the HyER website.
