Description

For the third year running, Lancashire Mind are hosting a conference to bring together local employers to raise awareness about the importance of wellbeing at work. The conference is an excellent opportunity to learn more about how you can support your employees to achieve and maintain good wellbeing, to learn from other Lancashire employers about their experiences of supporting their workforce and to meet a range of organisations who can provide support and assistance to help you improve wellbeing.

Our Keynote Speaker is Dr Ian Fletcher, Senior Lecturer at Lancaster University, who specialises in mental health and wellbeing in the workplace, mental health and deafness. His current studies focus on compassion, psychological safety and emotional regulation in 'emotionally charged' workplaces e.g. health services, ambulance services, military, fire services, rail passenger safety etc. Dr Ian Fletcher has recently been working with senior leaders around psychological safety and how it can: improve employee safety, mental health and wellbeing, enhance team communications and organisational performance and increase customer, service user and public satisfaction and safety.

Barclays Bank will be sharing the ‘This Is Me’ campaign.

Jo Smith is Lancashire and South Cumbria Foundation Trust’s Health and Wellbeing Strategic Lead, her areas of expertise are Public Health, behaviour change and leadership. Her NHS career began 15 years ago and Jo now has 5 years’ experience in workplace health and wellbeing and currently works strategically on embedding a sustainable approach , using Public Health methodology she is passionate about the prevention of ill health, healthcare leadership and supporting people in ‘working well’.

We’ll be shining the spotlight on workplaces including British Telecom in our interactive lightening talks
