Time to Write
Join us for Time to Write – a writing retreat which offers dedicated writing time to progress our writing projects. Whether you are working on conference abstracts, journal articles, revise-and-resubmits, books, research proposals and PhD chapters, this supportive session is open to all BTE colleagues and doctoral students.
We will run the session within a strict framework of timings & silent time in a non-surveillance environment so that you can really concentrate and make the most of the time. Whether you have joined us in person or online, there will also be a short break and an opportunity to chat to each other and share your writing progress or discuss writing challenges (plus refreshments for those in the room). We have found that these discussions between writing slots are really useful in generating solutions to writing problems, develop drafts and lead to research-oriented conversations.
New this year: Critical friend and research mentoring support with Associate Professor Richard Tresidder. Richard will be offering one to one mentoring support to guide you through those writing challenges.
Places are limited so if you book but can't attend, please let us know.
The room number, schedule and further information will be sent out in the booking confirmation. If you would like to attend via Teams, book on in the usual way and a link will be sent nearer the time.
