Tiny Green Scientists Webinar
Overview
Join us for an engaging online training webinar, Tiny Green Scientists- engaging your pupils with your local Tiny Forest. This session is designed for teachers and informal educators working with primary-age pupils who want to use Tiny Forests as a meaningful way to connect children with nature and environmental learning.
On Tuesday 3rd February at 15:30 GMT, this 1-hour webinar will introduce you to our Tiny Forest programme and how they can be used to support outdoor and environmental education in your school. Your pupils can become Tiny Green Scientists, engaging with real citizen science activities and contributing to real change! We’ll explore what Tiny Forests are, why they matter, and how they can help children understand climate change and biodiversity in an age-appropriate and inspiring way.
This webinar is open to all schools interested in learning more about working with their local urban Tiny Forest. We will be signposting to further ways to engage with our programmes, for example becoming a Tree Keeper of our Tiny Forests and engaging with our citizen science activities.
As part of our new Tiny Green Scientist project, we have the amazing opportunity to deliver an in-person education day and teacher training with primary schools at their local Tiny Forest. If you are interested in this opportunity and are a school based in Edinburgh or London, please fill out our "Expression of Interest” form: Tiny Green Scientist Expression Of Interest Form. We have very limited spaces available so this form will only be open for applications until Tuesday 10th February - please apply before then to be considered.
Join us on this webinar to learn more about the Tiny Forest programme, gain practical ideas for outdoor learning and discover some ways to support your children to engage with real citizen science activities.
